Editorial process and Peer review policy

All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Pedodontic Rehabilitation are initially checked for completeness, relevance to the journal’s scope and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts are also screened for text similarity using Turnitin. The similarity report is reviewed by an editor, and manuscripts with evidence of plagiarism, substantial text recycling or duplicate publication may be returned to the authors or rejected. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. The journal follows a double-anonymous peer-review process, in which the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. The reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, scientific quality, methodology, ethical compliance, clarity and relevance. Based on the reviewers’ comments and the editor’s assessment, a manuscript may be accepted, returned for minor or major revision, or rejected. Authors receive the relevant reviewers’ comments along with the editorial decision. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers when further assessment is required. The Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor makes the final decision after considering the reviewers’ recommendations. If an editor or editorial-board member is an author of a submitted manuscript or has any competing interest, that person will not take part in its review or decision. The manuscript will be assigned to another qualified editor who has no conflict of interest.

Plagiarism policy

All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism. Prior to peer review, all submissions will be screened using Turnitin plagiarism detection software to ensure compliance with ethical publishing standards. A similarity report is evaluated by an editor, and manuscripts are not accepted or rejected solely on the basis of a numerical similarity score. Suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling or other publication misconduct will be investigated according to the journal’s publication-ethics policy.
