Abstract

Dental fear and anxiety represent major barriers to successful pediatric dental care. This review explores emerging strategies for managing fear and anxiety in children undergoing dental treatment. Psychological techniques, environmental modifications, technological interventions, and enhanced professional communication strategies were evaluated through a literature review. Innovative methods such as virtual reality distraction, sensory adapted dental environments, and behavior management modifications show promising outcomes in improving patient cooperation and overall dental experiences.
