Abstract
Molar-Incisor Hypo mineralization (MIH) is a common dental condition that requires effective assessment tools for proper management in pediatric patients. The MIH RATING AND TREATMENT NEEDS (MIRA-TN) Index has been developed to standardize the evaluation of MIH severity and treatment needs. This study aims to validate the MIRA-TN Index as a reliable tool for assessing MIH in pediatric patients. A sample of 150 children aged 6-12 years from Bhopal was evaluated for MIH using the MIRA-TN Index. Inter- and intra-examiner reliability was calculated using Cohen's Kappa coefficient to assess the agreement between examiners. Statistical analysis revealed high reliability, with Cohen's Kappa values indicating excellent agreement between examiners. The results support the utility of the MIRA-TN Index in guiding MIH treatment decisions. The MIRA-TN Index demonstrates significant advantages in the clinical management of MIH, providing a standardized and reliable method for assessing the condition and informing treatment strategies.
