Abstract

This case series evaluates the application of slow and rapid maxillary expansion appliances in treating malocclusion in pediatric patients. The cases include patients presenting with Class I malocclusion with bimaxillary protrusion and Class III malocclusion associated with cleft lip and palate. Both removable and fixed expansion appliances were used to correct skeletal and dental discrepancies. The findings demonstrate that expansion appliances can effectively improve occlusal relationships and dental alignment when applied during the mixed dentition stage.
